Saigon, also called Ho Chi Minh City, is the home city of our very own robotics-loving junior, Loc Pham. This 800-square-mile economic and financial hub is located in southeast Vietnam near the Saigon River. It is the largest city in all the country population-wise, with about 21 million people in the city and its surrounding area.

Some architectural attractions in Ho Chi Minh City include the Reunification Palace, the City Hall, the Municipal Theatre, and Central Post Office. There are also many museums there, including the Ho Chi Minh City Museum, the Museum of Vietnamese History, the Museum of South-eastern Armed Forces, the War Remnants Museum, the Museum of Southern Women, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Nha Rong Memorial House, and the Ben Duoc Relic of Underground Tunnels. Some popular foods in Saigon are Pho, a rice noodle soup; Banh Mi, a baguette sandwich; Com Tam, a meat dish; and Bun Thit Nuong, a lighter noodle dish.
